AAAFund Celebrates Historic 2026 Election Victories — Now the Real Work Begins
The Asian American Action Fund (AAAFund) congratulates our endorsed candidates on their election victories and celebrates the extraordinary Democratic gains across the nation in the 2026 midterm elections. From flipping congressional seats to electing a new generation of leaders, Americans have sent a powerful message demanding change, accountability, and a government that puts working families first.
We proudly congratulate our AAAFund-endorsed candidates whose races have been called:
Dan Koh (MA-06), Pia Dandiya (FL-22), Richard Pan (CA-06), Derek Tran (CA-45), Ami Bera (CA-03), Pete Aguilar (CA-33), Grace Meng (NY-06), Susie Lee (NV-03), Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10), Marilyn Strickland (WA-10), and Jill Tokuda (HI-02).
We also recognize our endorsed candidates whose races have yet to be called, including Mary Peltola (AK-Senate), Amish Shah (AZ-01), Dave Min (CA-47), and Doris Matsui (CA-07). We extend our appreciation to Connie Chan (CA-11) for her campaign and commitment to public service.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi for her extraordinary career in public service and decades of unwavering commitment to the AANHPI community, particularly in representing one of the nation's largest and most vibrant Asian American constituencies. We are especially grateful for her support of Connie Chan and her commitment to empowering the next generation of AANHPI leaders to carry forward her legacy of public service.
These campaigns reflect the growing influence of AANHPI political leadership and the importance of experienced and next-generation leaders working together. We thank the volunteers, donors, and grassroots organizations whose dedication made this election possible.
But winning elections is only the beginning. The real work starts now.
Americans did not vote simply to change which party holds power. They voted for relief from rising costs, affordable housing, accessible healthcare, economic opportunity, and an end to costly and unnecessary wars. They expect elected leaders to move beyond partisan division and deliver meaningful results that improve their everyday lives.
"Tonight we celebrate, but tomorrow the real work begins," said Albert Shen, National Chair of AAAFund. "The American people have entrusted new leadership with an extraordinary responsibility. We must deliver on affordability, healthcare, economic security, and peace. Winning elections means little unless we improve the lives of the people who sent us there."
AAAFund remains committed to advancing AANHPI representation, supporting the next generation of leaders, and ensuring our communities have a meaningful voice in shaping America's future.
The voters have spoken. Now it is time to deliver.
