The AAA-Fund is a Democratic political action committee whose goal is to increase the voice of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders on every level of local, state and federal government in America. To achieve this goal, we address the chronic under-representation of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs) as campaign volunteers, campaign contributors, and candidates for political office.

Our tools are public education and coalition-building, as well as the endorsement, training, and financial support of APAs and other candidates who support our community's policy goals. We are governed by a board of directors, which is advised by an advisory board, honorary board, and a nation-wide network of chapters.
We are committed to building a nation-wide network of Democratic APA political activists, so your input and support are urgently needed.
APA Representation
APAs are the fastest growing minority group in the country. In the last decade, the total population of APAs jumped to 12.8 million, a 48.4% increase from 7.3 million in 1990.
Although APAs now number 12.8 million and exceed four percent of the nation's population, we have only six members of Congress out of 535 (just over one percent). This disproportionate under-representation is mirrored at the state level. In California, APAs have been ten percent or more of the population for years, but they have only in the last few years reached nine members in the state legislature, out of 120 (7.5%).
Greater Political Participation
As the fastest growing minority group in the United States, and as a group with an increasing number of community-specific social and political problems, it is increasingly important that APAs play an active role in American politics and government.
